where is Automatic Transmission Relay located on the 2008 2.0 SIII Automatic?

I believe the transmission relay is mounted to the interior side of the firewall, above the pedals. However, this is for left hand drive. I don't know if that's still true for right hand drive.

At the end of the day, a relay is a relay. If you can't find an exact match, you can splice in a new connector and use a generic relay.

The two red wires are the load side of the relay, the Black is permanent ground, the grey/black is the TCM 12V A/T Relay power feed to turn on the relay. So if you used a bosch style relay, you'd put the red wires on 30/87, and the black/black-gray wires on 86/85.

However, I would suggest testing the wiring before doing that. If you put a volt meter (ideally a test light) between the black and black/gray wire, you should see it read 12V / light the test light briefly when you turn on the key. You'd lose that voltage/the test light would go out slightly after turning on the key since the TCM would go into fail-safe mode & turn off that relay. If that checked out good, make sure you have 12V on one of the red wires, and the other red wire goes to 12V when the relay is on. You should see a (weak) ground on the other red wire when the relay is off.

I found those in the workshop manual. I got them on this forum, not sure if the original links are still good, but I know Chase206 has a google drive with the files on it. These are for the USDM tibs though, so it might not be a 1 to 1 manual.
