Only the fronts are compatible, rear have different ways in which the parking brake works on the caliper. There are no spring loaded brackets for the cable to mount to on either side. On a side note though most of the braking power comes from the front any ways, stock should do just fine although i wouldnt skimp on the exterior coating of the new/refurbished set.

 

The 07 has larger brakes than the previous years. 12" fronts and 11" rears. No need to deal with the headache of finding a compatible rear caliper or deleting your ebrake setup. The 11" rears are more than sufficient paired with your XG350 12" fronts.

I'm like 95% sure the difference is in the knuckles, not the calipers. the rear calipers have the same part# between 06 & 07, + there's no distinction between trims for the rear calipers, but there is for the rear rotors. While the SE fronts aren't listed for the 06, I got some of the aluminum red calipers from a junk yard & they bolted onto my 04 with the stock sized rotors. I don't remember what year the donor car was, but there was no increase in brake size.

I do remember working on my 07 SE & thinking that the calipers didn't seem much bigger than my previous 06, but the knuckle mounting points did seem to stick out more.

So, long story short, you'd need to pick up some 07 SE knuckles in addition to the rotors (and I think optionally) front calipers to get the full 07 BBK.

 

Upgrading the rear calipers is a bit pointless in my opinion as most of the braking is done with the fronts.

 

It can help with braking distribution though. Not needed but it can help.

 

Only the 07-08 SE has 12" in the front and 11" in the back. Yes, the difference is in the knuckle. All others have the standard 11" in the front and 10" in the back.

The rear caliper is the same from 1997-2008, with the exception of the brake cable.
