I think this is Tiburon forum not a STI one...sorry so could you shut up?

hahahaha j/k
sure.

i'll just sit here, and watch all the ****ing rain we're getting now that i have a bike. i swear. 6 weeks strait no rain and all of a sudden the sky's open up.

this is exactly what happened to me when i got parts for my tiburon and i had to wokr on it in a parking lot. it woudl rain for 3-7 days strait as soon as i got my parts. rediculously annoying.

James.

Nevermind. One of the mods may have fixed it. On my page it showed I posted like 8 times in a row with Brians post between each of them.

never go to rainbow mufflers..theres a couple around here (springfield-fairborn area) got my alignment today. They said a bad tire is causing it and they aligned it for me anyways. So i get in car and the mother pulls hard to the left. The only reason i got it alligned was because the steering wheel vibrated around 60 soo im pissed about to go argue just waitin on my dad to get hoe. He told me to go there in the first place

haha hoe. umm..... more than likely most wheel vibrations are caused by tires being out of balance..... not alignment. aligntment = pull. unbalanced = vibrate.

Gotta keep that pimp hand strong.

ok so a few things......

that girl gave me her s/n so we are gonna talk. she is at work now though. booo.

when starting out here is a question.... i go to about 2k rpm then start to release the clutch and give it a lil more gas. the rpms drop to about 500-1K by the time i start moving. i am slow off b/c if i come off any faster i jerk. so the question is.... do u guys go to the break point and then start giving gas.... or do u give it a lil gas so that when u hit the break point there is enough to start u moving a lil as u keep pressing the gas.

this mainly came in on hills b/c what i find myself doing (and smoking clutch) is reving to 3K and coming up slow on the clutch. yea, that cant be right. so i am thinking that u guys go to the break point then start giving gas? i dunno. describe how u do hills.

o and i figured out my "jerking" issue. if i dont keep the rpms up when i am shifting i watch the tach and when the clutch engages rpms drop if my foot is not on the gas a bit. so it is kind of a slow down effect. so, when i shift i tap the throttle to keep the rpms steady when i shift everything is smooth.

man...on the bike i have to reve to about 3-4 grand to get it going. I feel like i'm doing someting wrong to it. but thats all i can do. man it was fun. even under 25 mph its fun. I'm loving it.

in my car i dont give it any gas until i hit the friction point. in optimum conditions my rpms dont go above 1200rpms

holy balls then yea i am doing that crap wrong. that means u gotta be slow as balls lifting off in 1st though or else ur gonna jerk forward once it engages.

Brian where did you meet this girl? And dude, DON'T take your gun on your first date lol... Well take it with you, but don't wear it. You may just scare her lol.

i have put my guns away man :) i havent touched siggy in about a week. just goes to show how much more i like this area. and i would never bring a gun out on a date. that is just crazy. i mean, yea i get tasered and am stupid but there is a fine line between stupid and crazy. i would like to think i lay on the stupid side more than the crazy :)

btw, i got my taser international shirt yesterday. yay!

Brian, try driving without looking at your RPM gauge and shift by feeling what the car is doing. By looking you are overly concentrating on it and probably look like your constipated from an outside view. Just feel what the car is doing and you will know when to shift.

Use the force slow padawan.

Anyways, James. Shifting on bikes sucks especially under hard acceleration at high RPMs. I made it up to 15,500 RPMs the other day while still in first, (yeah, I was going 70 mph in first) and shifted into second and holy crap did the bike jerk.

Exactly...just ease up on the clutch to a point where it starts to grab and slowly transition off the clutch and slowly onto the gas...it'll go smoother that way...but you'll get a feel for where your clutch engages and once that happens your starts and transitions will be 100% smoother...

As soon as you start to move doesn't mean you have to jump off the clutch because then you will jerk around...my wife still can't drive my car because that's what she does...lets just say I don't give her too many chances to drive my car LOL

I dunno...hope that makes sense...

sweet. it is only 1st gear that i watch the rpms on launch about 80% of the time. for all the rest, i dont really watch or concentrate much. i def know when to shift that is ocmpletely fine w/ that. it is just re-engaging the clutch i have to play with and get right.

this morning on the way to work i didnt go above 1500rpm...... cept when i was on a hill stopped i gassed it to about 2500 and came up smooth.
