I'm glad you did because it gives us options in the meantime. If you made a DIY on wiring a flip flop switch into a TCS switch...you would be a saving grace to many of us! From the sounds of it, you have a wealth of knowledge that we could all benefit from! :3_winkthu

You see, the problem that everyone's encountered is the fact that the foglight switch doesn't fit correctly to the left of the steering column. Everyone wants an OEM on/of switch in that area that actually looks OEM! Your idea just may be what we've been looking for...can you make it happen with the TCS switch?
Yes it could be done with ease I would use 2 TCS switches and try and figure a way to change or remove the letters to what I wanted. I'm more into the electrical of it tho.
Then you could have 2 switches and the light dimmer instead of blanks :3_fyou HYundai

Let me do some searching because that premade flipflop I found was not in USA I don't think
price was marked in franks or some **** But I will put together something I'll draw a crude diagram or something give me a little time to get it together

Nice those are what I'm looking for! OK know I have to find a useable premade
flip flop relay. The ones I found are from the UK or something
If you have any issues ordering from the UK, let me know and I may be able to get someone to ship it to you :3_yes:

This is one flip flop I've found that would work very well.

Man internet is working slow for some reason gonna have to get back a little later

Sorry I had a computer problem for a moment

I'm trying to find a flip flop local But I don't care for radio shack to much never did :3_toilet-

that picture I showed has a lot of in/outputs
until I have one in my hand I have to guess but it's an educated guess thou...:3_nosthum

Ok first thanks are in order from STIMPY2301 for the switch pic I used

This is a DIY flip flop relay for making a momentary switch into a off/on switch
and depending on the relay you use can control a lot of power.

First shortcut is for the relay I used here second shortcut is similar circuit with extra outputs for external on /off LED ( I think ) they didn't explain the outputs on webpage :3_steam:

E-mail me back if you have questions I made this kinda fast.................

This is super nice! The only problem is you're probably a lot more advanced than most of us, which means that most of us can't fully understand the diagram you just made. Can you physically complete this mod so we can all see?

Sorry like I said I kinda put it together fast and I'm waiting on money:3_saai:

But yes I will get one together and take lots of pics

Bear in mind I'm disabled in lots of pain and dealing with idotic government to get whats mine.:3_steam: SO I have alot of time on my hands

Know the big thing is, is that the circuit I put together is sort of a universal switch to control lights and stuff with a momentary switch. My actual project I'm working on is to replace the 10amp fuse for ABS so I can shut it off. If I've studied the schematics right removing or shutting of this fuse doesn't allow the ABS to know the car is started hence it won't work :3_zoefzoe Which is what I'm looking for.

So please ask questions I will answer all until I have something better

I'm sorry to hear the bad news, but realize the good you can do in light of the situation.

Buy the switch here (Soulfulracing - NT Sponsor):

Buy the TSC switch harness at DiodeDynamics.com. I can't find a link for it, but talk to Paul and he can send you one.

O I've had the switch from soulfulracing for awhile thats what got me started on this journey to find out if I can add TCS to a car that don't have it:3_coool:
But yes I've been hearing about those wiring harness. Would like to know if they are real, know what I mean? But there is already a connector for the TCS and its hot and works if you don't plan on trying to get TCS going you can cut the bottom 2 wires and use it for the project we are working on. To use a momentary switch for on/off

Would like to know if they are real, know what I mean?
Haha!...I know what you mean but they are, indeed, real :3_yes: Paul (Diode Dynamics) sent me an OEM foglight switch with the harness for my Angel Eyes.

EDIT: You're undertaking a pretty big project with the whole Traction Control idea...I couldn't even imagine what goes into that...

Just the ABS modulator under the hood and the switch is all I can see that needs to be changed. Biggest thing is having a grand to spend on it.

Now that I think of it maybe I or we should get together with this Paul guy and discuss him stocking premade flip flop relays So we can take care of this pesky momentary switch problems. everyone seems to have.:nerd:

That's a GREAT IDEA! I like the way you think! Let's take it a step further, though...what if he not only carried the flip flop relays in stock, but also had them prewired to the TCS switch and ready for plug and play!?!?

Yes that would be great specialty if he has the connectors then all you would have to do is connect power and your accessory (lights ect.)

My body my be screwed up but my mind is sharp as a pin :nerd:

Please ask if you need me to explain anything on my DIY I guess sometimes I still think if I
know something everyone does. And I end up talking above peoples head. Bad habit I got from *** brother.

I guess in a way with hundreds of people on this site I figured someone knew what a flip flop was. MY BAD! ! Electronics and driving are the natural talents in my family.

Al-thou its interesting to note my brother is better at electronics than I am
and I drive better than him.
I've outran cops in a neon before HAHAHAHA:3_fyou the cops

You would be amazed how much stuff is connected to my computer it works faster than my moms new computer and hers is 5 years newer than mine

Extreme Nerd :nerd:

I just noticed WA on your profile washington State?? I was there in the military Fort Lewis nice place always wanted to move back......................

PM was sent to Paul J. McCain of Diode Dynamics. Hopefully he can chime in on this.

Amen to THAT!

Fort Lewis in Tacoma...Washington is a beautiful state.

i would like to put an OEM switch in for my underglow to. Someone should make up a DIY or throw some steps up on how to do it.

Couldn't you just get an on/off OEM switch and hook it up with some kind of wiring? I have the white unerglow from LEDunderglow.com

Not all the switches are on/off that's the problem the switches on the left of steering wheel are momentary switches.
The seat heater switches are on/off but only fit in the middle counsel ,I would still use a relay to control current safely to keep high current out of the switch
A relay separates a high current on the relay contacts from a low current "control' current in the switch.
Cause quite honestly nobody knows how many Amps these switches contact's are rated for if you use to much current through the switch :2_sad:They will burn out

Somewhere in this thread I threw together a DIY for flip flops which make a momentary switch act like a on / off switch

TIBURON SWITCHES

1. HANDS FREE SWITCH ON/OFF SWITCH CENTER COUNSEL
2. OEM FOGLIGHT SWITCH ON/OFF SWITCH CENTER COUNSEL
3. SEAT HEATER SWITCHS LEFT RIGHT ON/OFF SWITCH CENTER COUNSEL
4. TCS SWITCH MOMENTARY SWITCH LEFT OF STEERING WHEEL

Lots of people want t to use those 2 blank spots on the left of the steering wheel
the TCS switch with a flip flop would work very good for any purpose

:smokerubber:

i don't really care where the switch goes...i would just assume put it in the center console. I was just wondering if an OEM switch would be able to hookup and run the LED's and what I may need for that. The flip flop switch your talking about seems to be alot more work for what is to me not that big of a deal

If anyone is curious, this is what happens when you put a switch that is designated for the CENTER CONSOLE to the left of the steering column:

(This is another NT member's foglight switch pic)

^THIS^ is the problem we're trying to solve...
