It's a wire coming from the loom so I'm sure it's factory but don't know what it's for

I believe we had a recent thread (1-2 months old) with the same question (can't remember what the thread title was) with a likely resolution. I want to say it was part of the AC compressor.

It does indeed go ontop of the PS pump. I do not know what it does though. It should plug in and then use a small c clip to stay in. I lost the clip and had to get to autozone to get a replacement. I know that mine did leak a bit of PS fluid when this wasn't seated properly so yours might be leaking if its just 'chillin'

Hah! Bingo. That was exactly it. Tho what it does is still a mystery. (A wire that stops leaks?) only Hyundai.
