Re: Official +++ HOUSTON, TEXAS +++ Thread

not too bad. Just tired. I bought ceiling fans for the house last night and I'm going to put them up today.

oh, and that reminds me.... I modded an appliance in my house that you guys might get a kick out of. Justin knows about it, but I'll get pics up once I get home

So how is everyone today?
Ohhh, not too bad. Except for I don't know what the hell to do up here at work now.

Is that a difficult thing to do? Are there connections there already or will you have to wire it all up?

Modded appliances ftw. PICS!

Haha how do you not know?
Because it was basically them saying, "Next you should work on this client...ok, go!"

While I'm sitting here like, "Uhhhhhhh..."

I'm still pretty new to the job and unexperienced, so it's a little hard for me to just go and do it. It also doesn't help that this particular client is a more specialized audit...so it's even harder to just do.

Re: Official +++ HOUSTON, TEXAS +++ Thread

Yo guys, long time no posting here. I'm wondering if anyone knows ANYTHING about converting the tib to real wheel. I have been lusting to do it, I just need help.
Yeah, there have been talks about that for years, but you might as well give it up. After getting a new tranny, drive terain system and gettting everythig to mesh together properly, you will probably be about $15k out of pocket. It would be more worth it to sell the tib and buy a Z. Or just wait for the 09 tibs that are going to be RWD.

Re: Official +++ HOUSTON, TEXAS +++ Thread

Thats cool. My friend got a new ceiling fan in her room. It has a remote!!! I loved it, I want one now lol.
Yeah, both of ours have remotes with them. I use to have one my my old bedroom and I miss it a lot. It's nice being able to just turn the lights off and on without getting out of bed.

Yeah, it might be possible but not even close to being worth it. Think about everything that would be necessary and you can just imagine how much it would cost and the amount of work that would have to be put into it:

-Engine would have to be rotated 90 degrees - probably means all custom made motor mounts and possibly modification to things inside the bay for the engine to fit
-New transmission built for rwd - finding a tranny that will mount up to the tib engine and have an output shaft meant for rwd
-Because it's a new transmission in a new location you'll need new shift linkage, probably custom, and possibly have to modify the underside of the car to route them correctly
-Because of a rwd tranny, you'd probably have to modify the underside of the car in order to get it to fit
-Need a driveshaft - I haven't looked much under the tib, but the underside of the car might have to be modified or at least the exhaust rerouted in order to get a driveshaft down the car, which will probably have to be a one-of-a-kind custom.
-rear axle will have to be replaced with one that's built for rwd and will probably have to be custom mounted
-entire clutch system will have to be changed to reroute all hydraulic lines to the new clutch and slave position

There could be even more, but that just comes off the top of the head really quickly. It's seriously not worth it at all. In fact, it might be easier to switch the car to a rear engine rwd than it would be to just go straight rwd.
