Martin,

You know dude how long I have been waiting to that Chaos Cf hood but had to go with the Seibon TS CF hood.

I will tell you what. I will show you when it is installed, then your GF could put it in your stocking stuffer lol lol lol.....

Hey guys i have a question regarding our warranties. I hit a ditch about over a month ago, and found out today that the pipe for my steering wheel fluid is crack. Delawri Hyundai dealership looked at it and asked me if i ever hit a ditch or anything. I said no, but they said there's sign that it was hit on a ditch, and they said they wouldn't honour the warranty. I told them they have to, since i didn't hit any ditch, just trying to play it up since i didn't want to pay $850. They said they would get back to me after talking to the supervisor. Do you guys think they should honour the warranty or this is my fault and i should pay for it?

Not sure but it will definately help. Picking up parts?

My hood has arrived but haven't seen it yet. I will see it when I get home.

It would be nice to install it but I hear they scratch easily especially when cleaning snow off. Just wondering if I should wait for the spring or install it now? I am very curious to see how it looks on my car.

I finally have seen it. It is a piece of art. I am going to wait until next spring to install it.

LOL nice man post up some pics!!!!, dont install that bad boy untill spring unless you are storing your car inside. I wish i could get one for X-mas but i have more important things with the house you know, plus i have a set of springs, traction bars and a clutch to install so i should be good for toys this winter lol

Guys, I need your advice,

I am in the process of picking up a 2004 Ford Ranger XLT. This will be my full time winter, utility and raining day vehicle. My current insurance premium for my Tiburon is around $1300.00 per year. I have not told them anything about all the mods I have done. To their knowledge, it is a stock V6 2.7 litre Tiburon GT. I believe if I ever did get into an accident, what would transpire would be they would insure the vehicle for its stock value then probably cancel my insurance afterwards. I also believe that some of us have special insurance (more expensive) that would fully provide coverage for our modified cars. Most guys I guess are in the same position as me.

Anyway the dilemma is I called my insurance to get a price for insuring my Tib for only fire and theft for the winter months, which I will not be driving and full insurance coverage for the truck.
The cost for both vehicles combined will be an extra $600.00 per year. This is difficult to accept.
I am thinking about taking of the collision on my Tib to lower the offset the premium increase. This way my premium will only go up by $150.00.

Seeing that, I never have been in accident in my life, have a 6 star rating, they would not cover the cost of replacing my mods and plus having all my stock parts still available, I see this as a viable insurance cost cutting measure.

Anyway, let me know what your comments are. If you think my idea is crazy don't be afraid to tell me I am nuts.

oh ya? what kind? is it 1080p?
I actually picked a better deal up. 42" Plasma from Dell for $899, including 3-year warranty. It'll be delivered on Monday! :) It's a 1080i, but it's good enough for us since we're not getting an HD signal (yet).

EDIT: Scratch that, it'll be here tomorrow! I love Dell shipping!

Gamz are you going to Ogdenburg this weekend by any chance? If you are i need a huge favour from you. :)
Sorry man, I didn't end up going because of the weather. If I get a chance to go again next weekend, I'll PM you to see what you need.

Mike, I don't have any of my mods insured either. If you have a closed garage at your house where your car is stored inside, I wouldn't have a problem removing collision from the Tib. If it was outdoors, you never know if some moron slides off the road into your car, no matter how remote the possibility (not that hard to imagine in our winters...).

As long as there's no penalty for re-adding the insurance back on the Tib in the spring, I'd go for it. I know some places will hold any uninsured time against you, which will make your insurance costs rise.

Chris,
I am not sure if you understood or if I was unclear. My intention is to park my Tib for the winter with only fire and theft. When the weather is better perhaps in April, I will recommence driving my Tib occasionally without collision. I will only have fire, theft and liablility only . My plan is to drop the collision period on the Tib

well you do make a good point Mike, if you where to get into a fender bender they will not cover your aftermaket parts anyway and your deductible and bla bla bla you might be ahead but if you where to total the tib(god forbid) you will be getting $0 from the insurance and your car will not be worth anything or fixable but if you had colision well they would atleast give you black book wich is probably at least $10 000?
