My car is 6ish months old, give or take 2 months.


I have rust spots on my door and my fenders..and my quarter panel.
They aren't noticeable but they are there. I'll snap some pics tomorrow of them but they are disgusting to look at.

I wash my car every week or so and wax it every couple of weeks. I spray it down after every snow fall. This isn't a "for sale" thread I'm being serious I do wash it quite often.

What I don't understand is how a NEW car can have rust spots..car was made in December 2008 and probably sitting on the lot until I picked it up. Could Hyundai not have washed it or even sprayed it down while it was sitting on the lot? Because when I picked it up it was filthy before they washed it.

Can I go to Hyundai and ask for them to fix it? Because honestly I am pissed off.
*I do park my car outside since we have a TWO car garage -.-*

Basically..what are my options?!

My car was made in April 02' and i have no rust at all. Bad luck maybe? I'd go to Hyundai for sure and bit*h about it to them and see if they will do anything about it.

Oh by the way, the filthiest my car has ever been was when I took the avatar picture. (The pic is not edited)

But I don't want them to say...hmm..ok we'll fix it, take it to the back pop out a do it yourself touch up pen and start touching it up just to have me come back in a month even more pissed.

I'm wondering if I can get a new paint job? I know i'm asking for too much but rust after less than a year is ********

7 year perforation/corrosion warranty I believe. Falls at least under your 5/60 bumper to bumper if there isnt any scratches related to the rust spots. I know I have a 7 year but I bought an extended warranty and I dont wanna root through papers to find out if the corrosion warranty is part of my extended package

yeah go to hyundai and tell them the situation they might try to blame it on owner care which is BS since you have taken care of it but theres no way to prove it really.

Just keep complaining i say seeing its an 08

I don't have ANY scratches on the car.
Two dents where retards let their doors fly out without paying attention (those people need to get into an accident, with no fault insurance)

I call extreme bullsh¡t on the bold. I guarantee I could find scratches. I have a feeling that you don't know "don't have ANY scratches".

The rust sucks, makes me lul a bit, but it sucks for you. But you can't use "no scratches" as proof that you care for your car because someone with a trained eye will tell immediately that you're not telling the truth and will thus not trust the rest of what you're saying.
