yeah dude i love the sound of a turbo engine. see im not planning on going crazy with a s/c just like 200 horses and a badass whine sound...thats all, i dont want to run like 8 or 9 pounds of boost...just 4 pounds...ill be good

yeah baker you and valkyrie are like my heros...u epically cause you have an auto tib also, but im just not sure if i shouldnt wait and not boost it, and just buy a fast car next time..i dont know, plus the economy tanking is dicking me over

Couldn't you run more than 10psi? I am running 10 psi on stock internals and have been doing so for 7 months now.

tiburon with 4psi makes slightly more then Cobalt with 12psi, so it is not as useless as you think, but 6-8 psi defenetly will bring fun factor.

Tiburon compression is 10.0

Well.... I'm not saying i expected to be bumper to bumper with him. But damn. He just took off like a scared cat !! I was talking to him later on. He said he has a gm stage 2, 2.9 inch pulley, injen cai, gm performance exhaust, a 2nd after market heat exchanger, some sort of motor mounts and a tune to go with the new pulley ! He said he never dynoe'd his car. But he said it should be around 250ish whp !! Can that be right ? Plus his car is nearly 300lbs lighter then mine ? What the hell....... What do i need to keep up with him ?

why would you buy a tiburon to keep up with him?? the stage 2 colbalts are really nothing special. on looks the car looks bad. i really dont like it (even tho i rly want a stg 2 gm cobalt) but even the interior is pretty stripped down. nothing really clean looking. just cheap plastic and more plastic parts.

but if you want to keep up maybe a stage 2 sniper or assasin.

at least 8-10 lbs of boost tho haha.



or just sell the tiburon and get a 350 or something

Well 4 psi seems really low but why would that be better than a 10 psi stock cobalt??Isnt the more psi your pushing the better or more powerful??
basically.. but the tiburon engine is larger than the 2.0 cobalts.

So larger engine yes but what does that mean exactly?? What does the V6 S/C do better than the 2.0 S/C??
Well lets see....The tiburon has a v6 and the cobolt has only a i4.

yeah a v6 tib has more potential for boost than a inline 4....especially blower to blower....in my opinion its dumb to supercharge a 4....kinda defeats the purpose.....turbo a 4, blow a 6 and higher. thats my opinion...dont hate me
 
Considering that there are some stock N/A i4 that make more power then the Delta V6 doesn't make sense saying a 6 is better or better to S/C
There's no replacement for displacement
