what exhaust / header do u guys recommend?

choices are..

header: DC sport , SSA ( only two i can ever afford near in the future )

exhaust : Borla, what else? lol.

DC headers for sure but they're more exspensive, though SSA's will work just fine.

For the exhaust, hmm, are you planning on boost at some point? Injen is good for the money, Ark is good but exspensive, there's also Greddy, and the cheep SSA.

yes. boost. but it will take a while. injen like what Rob has? that ones pretty good. love the

sound rob's tib has. ssa.. i dunno... ark.. i would love to.. but yes expansive. very.

I've got Borla, the only thing bad about it is the piping is 2.25, which is fine for Stg 0 & 1 boost but a little on the restrictive side. So I'm gonna have to get bigger pipes at some point.

If I was in your shoes I'd go custom Borla, just pick out some mufflers and/or tips depending on which mufflers you pick. Take it to a shop and have them weld up the mufflers with bigger piping, and it will likely be cheaper than buying a kit. Bigger pipes plus Borla mufflers = win win! lol

Yeah, only difference is you'll be getting new and bigger pipes, which makes a difference in sound and power. I'd go talk to some shops, tell em what you want done and that you'll supply the mufflers and see how much they'll charge.

two. both magnaflow mufflers with resonator.

so for the piping, borla muffler doesn't come with it right? i gotta buy seperately?

Yeah, the piping is separate. But I think that you could just get the piping at a muffler shop. Borla has piping on their website too, but getting it from a local shop would be easiest.

Haha, yeah I know, I was hoping to be working on boost during my break (one more week of classes! lol)

Just didn't make enough cash tho. Gonna do my guages, wideband, headers, shifter bushings, motor mounts, leather upholstery, stereo, multi guages, finish cf hood, and maybe a tuner during the break so I'll be busy.

But then I'll be ready after that lol. Well I'm out for the night, got class at 9 in the morning

Eric my current exhaust setup is steveys importshark headers, 3 in magmaflow highflow cat. Custom 2.5 in pipe to the rear with no resonator and injen ses back. I need a resonator though or a 3rd muffler because it's raspy.

Yes, a resonator will make it quieter, just not as quiet as a muffler will.
