Hey guys so just last night my car started making a dragging noise going down the road sounds like its coming from tthe front. Just replaced wheel bearings about 2 months ago so I'm pretty sure its not that.. Also the noise started from about 70-80ish lms its not humming its like a dragging constant sound tires have been bald for a little while now lol. Please help me solve my stupid car issues!

Bald tires are bad ju-ju for any car....

No, just the fact they're "bald" should not make any noise (I assume you mean 70-80 KPH?)

I would jack it up and spin each front as well as check for play, maybe something else is an issue.
Also see if body work or a bottom cover is loose and being forced to the ground at speed.

Km/h. He is from Canada.

Actually, the noise would be my last concern if I had bald tires.

Have them replaced ASAP and see if the noise is still there.

KPH = Kilometers Per Hour..... just like MPH (in the USA) = Miles Per Hour.... I have no clue what "lms" means (guessing typo and yes, I saw he was from "North of the border"....:wink2::grin2:

Well the tires are only mounted they were never balanced but never made a noise until just now I'm seriously going to junk this car if I have to replace my front passenger wheel bearing for the 4th time in a year
Fast failing wheel bearings are usually:
-Pressed in wrong, damaging them
-Dragging brake that cooks the bearing
-Damaged knuckle so that the bearing does not fit correctly (similar to pressed in wrong)
-Wrong bearing used, thus the axle nut bottoms out on the threads and not properly preloading the bearing (sorta depends on the brand bearing..... several threads when peeps had to use a shim washer to get the spacing correct..... still an install issue)
-Lots of track time/high speed cornering (high heat.... again)
-Worn front suspension/steering parts killing the bearings

Most of these are "service issues", not a "Tib issue"........

Tires out of balance would tend to give shaking, not so much noise.
Loose front end parts can make the tires wear odd thus making noise as well as killing bearings faster.

never balanced? meaning YOU never had them balanced, or they have no weights on them. i'm guessing the first one.

since they are bald you might as well get new ones and see if the noise goes away.

i know its ****** to incur the expense but there's really nothing else you can do. there are places around me that sell used tires. sometimes you can get really good tires for very cheap

Well it always fails on that side for some reason... I think it is going... Tires will also be replaced in a couple weeks... After insurance is paid and a new bearing is put in...

Insurance will probably not pay out if your tyres are shot and you hit something...

I had bald tyres once... both fronts on my first car... then one day it rained and I slid off a corner, ending up in someones garden, maybe 2 metres short of making a new entrance to their house. I was taking it so easy in the wet and this happened anyway. I just missed collecting a power pole on the way in - very lucky that day.

Park your car and fix the tyres. That uncontrolled slide into oncoming traffic is so not worth it.
