wait just remembered you can't start the car my advice get it to the dealership get them to try to start it apparently it took my dealership about 10 tries to get it going by constently cleaning the plugs and doing other shitt. Now my dealer knows why my crank sensor and cam shaft sensor went all in the same week cylinder commpression was so f****ed those sensor went crazy.

Okay now heres the deeper problem, **** what a day it's been for me turns out my head is warped and that because of the warpage it's pushing more pressure threw the coolent line thus cause it to fill up the coolent resovoir, when the resovoir gets full the extra pressure sprays it out the overflow tube and eventually drianing out two litres of coolent. now because the coolent is so low the temperature sensor or sender can't remeber but whatever reads the temperature for the guage only gets steam and reads the tempresture way off and the car thinks it's cooler then it is. thats what is stated from a hyundai tech now about a month ago i had the rad and head replaced due to a blocked coolent line. turns out the as*hole just tried maching it when it should have been replaced.
Well i contacted him and he denies everything and even denies working on my car. what i didn't tell him is that i have pictures of my car in the shop with the business sign and even him in the pics working on the car, not to mention his signiture on the work order sheet. so here comes a court battle because renting a car isn't cheap, miss 2 days of work, gotta re-do all his work really not cheap and added stress to the whole situation. already contacted a lawyer and he said i have a 90% chance of winning the money back plus more which i'm asking for the $1700 for repair and $300 for everything else so 2000 in total. if i was you check your coolent immidiatly if low or here try this take rad cap off start car and if it starts to bubble up and out the cap opening get ur cylinder head inspected.i know all this sounds crazy but it's all happen in the last 2 days PHEW!
damn thats a big headache...sorry to hear. At least you found out your problem and have a good chance on suing his ***.

and thanks for advice, ill check coolant and replace oil by tmrw. I got a hyundai genuine filter too. hopefully i can get more than just a backfire

update: my coolant level is fine and i decided to remove the upper intake manifold to have a better look at any missing/bad sensors/ground and found oil all over my upper intake manifold. Is that normal?

since my crank sensor was fried it could my compression be off? i dont have tools to check the compression but if you think it could be that ill find some lol

If your crank sensor was messed up, you just wouldnt get any spark at the plugs at all. The backfire is interesting, however I am still a firm believer that the original problem is just not enough fuel pressure in the lines. And yes, you need that PSI in the lines in order to work correctly. Engine oil (a small amount) can be found in the IM due to the PCV system, which is why some people run catch cans. (mostly during boosted situations). If you had blown rings, there would be a lot of oil throughout the entire intake system. Good luck! hope you figure this out.

the car was still running on a shorted out crank sensor just not running good. Im thinking it doesnt have enough pressure. fuel filter/pump gaskets and strainer kits are almost impossible to find online :( im going to get a fuel pressure gauge then the parts if needed from dealer. thanks

all my crank sensor fail and all i had was hard starts and misfires then eventually boghed right down.once fixed ran beautifuly.just take it to hyundai and get them to find the problem it's only 56 bucks here in Ontario and thats a flat rate so if it takes 3 days to find problem it's still 56 bucks at least your know whats wrong and be able to fix it yourself or by them

maybe this was said already but have you checked the oil pressure sensor? another thing is to always disconnect the negative terminal from the battery when ever your doing any maint. on the car, the last thing you need is an electrical problem and our cars are a pain to track it down when something is wrong.

update:

the car has been at the dealers for 2 days and they found the problem to be a bad fuel pump. I dunno how a simple fuel filter change can cause a bad fuel pump and lot of repair costs. This really pisses me off with the ****** quality of the car.

What was the reason for replacing the filter? Was it regular maintenance, or were you having an issue? Your issue may have not been the filter, but the fuel pump instead.
i replaced for my 50k mile maintenance. everything was working fine before i changed it.
i found a tech service bulletin on 03-04 with faulty fuel pumps so i guess it happened to me.

the starter is working fine its just the fuel pump isnt getting enough power so the dealer recommended to replace the fuel pump

i got the car back from the dealer and replaced the fuel pump with a brand new one. Car still doesnt work...The only thing left to try is to piggyback the fuel pump signal wire to the ecu

IDK if this applies to the tib, but make sure you have good ground on your fuelpump or it will keep shorting your fuelpump and blowing it.

This had happened to my s10 and had to replaced 4 fuel pumps. one right after the other. finally took it to the mechanic and they found that it was a loose grounds wire that keeps shorting the fuel pump

i finally got the car running :3_winkthu: :3_bier:

apparently the fuel filter has two locations for an o-ring; one the underside and one on the top. The top o-ring can't go on without a snap on cap which was still on my old fuel filter when thrown away. So i used the cap and o-ring from my return tube off the assembly housing, snapped it in placed and it got good pressure and finally started! The car runs perfect now but still takes 2-3 times to start which im guessing are fouled plugs but that dont matter cuz its been sitting for 2 months lol

I went through different sensors, the dealership, new fuel pump and hundreds dollars later it was jus a .10cent o-ring, unbelievable haha.

so you didn't do the fuel filter maintenance correctly?

thats exactly what happened. Theres a rubber boot that goes over the top of the fuel pump outlet that was still in my old fuel filter along with the double o-rings and cap.

So without those parts the fuel pressure was so low it wouldnt start. It will still start without the fuel pump boot but will run rough. Unfortunately Hyundai doesn't make replacement parts for the fuel pump assembly so i had to by a complete used one. Installed the new assembly and the car runs like new again.

If anyone has problems in the future just PM me and ill try to help u out
