The point is that the discussion was about the tib being girly and google images had the tib as the first non pink car under the search. If this thread was about a 1970 ford torino cobra being girly and it was the first non pink car then this would be ironic as well.
 
Celca's are for Asians and girls.....No offense to either. Its just the area around here. Tibs are SO much nicer.

you cant Trick out a Celica and make people say "what the HELL is that thing???" whether its fast or not

Tibs...as we all know get Many-a-name day to day....

celica is not a 1jz engine, it is a 1zz engine, well the new ones you are talking about 2000-2005, 1zz and 2zz, the tiburon is nicer in my opinon, more power, better lasting quality i think
And in comes the Toyota technician! How are those recalls for you? Also, change your sig! It is no longer red and whining!
 
The 7th-gen Celica GT-S with the 2zz paired to a six speed is an awesome drive. The VVTL-i (Same as vtec, yo!) doesn't hurt, either. The only thing I don't like from what I've read is that it seems to lack bottom-end strength, so going F/i isn't as simple as it is on our cars. It isn't a bad looking car, either- a bit boy-racerish, but then, so is ours.

My friend, who owns one, keeps up with me at the strip with a 55-shot, so I wouldn't bash the cylinder count.

At the end of the day, though, I'll keep my Tiburon.
 
Most people on here are gunna favor the Tib, considering this is a Tiburon forum! I did want to pick up a Celica instead of the Tib when I was looking for a car. But I couldn't justify paying more than what I did for the Tib for a car that had twice as many miles and about 3 years older than my Tib!
 
I was actually trying to find a 98 before i bought the tib, but because the build is so good for that generation, no one sells or parts with them. Like the tib, there is no reason why the celica has to be a chick car. I think this GT4 looks hella flush.

I definitely agree. I've always loved the GT4. Plus it was made right, like the old DSMs. AWD mofo!
