I installed new 6k hids on the fogs and now it makes a little buzzing noise when on.. I searched searched and searched but didnt find anything besides threads full of "hey guys what color hids should i get?!" Im sure its been answered before so if anyone could give me an answer or link please :3_nosthum thanks guys

had the same problem on my friends car when installing neon... it is high picthed and kinda faint correct?

yep thats it. if its gotta stay that way its not gonna kill me, i just dont want it to be something bad haha

it's just the HID warming up.....it's perfectly normal

Mine did that for a week or so... then quit. Not sure what makes em do it but I havent had any issues with them.

ever been in an office building or school with a lot of florescent 2x4 lights? if you pay attention you can hear a faint buzzing/humming when the lights are on. that is the ballasts. lol.

You have an analog/magnetic style ballast kit .... this is how they operate (we can get technical if you would like explaining why and how). What kit do you have, where did you get it, and when?

correct. the ones that i had on my car when i bought it don't buzz, they are the full size. but when i bought the slim ballasts HID kit from DD they did buzz...thats just the sound they make
