driving a 2003 gt tib 6 speed
so when the ac is off the car is perfect and everything runs smoothly
but when i turn on the ac while driving and push in the clutch for the rpms to go down
it goes down a bit slower than normal and stays @ 1500 and wont go down unless i turn off the ac
can anyone help me with this?

dont turn your AC on

you may want to have someone check out the AC compressor

the idle rpms are supposed to be raised slightly, but not 1500. mine is around 800 or 900 with the ac on at idle.

Yeah... You shouldn't be needing your A/C this time of year anyways... But then again I just saw you are from Texas so that is kind of necessary... I would say maybe your idle air control valve might be sticking? Causing the engine to idle high maybe? If you could get a hold of a Hyundai scan tool it would be nice because with that you could force it to idle down through the computer. When the A/C is on try unhooking the IAC motor and see if the car idles down.

yea i need to get it checked out
i mean we did have to swivel the ac compressor when we put the headers on
but i didn't notice anything then
