Jay the calipers still look great. Thanks again for the help.
Just used touch up paint on some rock chips plus an unfortunate incident I'm quiet on for now.98tib said:the $200.00 detail does not include the chips and what not to be fixed, the complete detail is 150 and the super complete is an additional 50 because they will clay the car. they need to see the car first to give an estimate on repair for the chips. it does look like they do a great job tho.
i live here, but i go to school in AZ...so im only here for the summer n winters. i was supposed to get back here may 12th...but i wound up gettin out here june 16th....98tib said:when are you leaving wed night? worse comes to worse i will take it back out and give it back. and can't you stay in one state for just more than a month or so? lol didn't you just get back from az right around the time of S3?
thats ****in weird man....that ticking was loud as shlt too....Spider563 said:Yea, so those of you who were on Deer Park Avenue Saturday night and were looking at my car with me to find out why my car was ticking... get this. Well, we established that my car had an oil leak. So, Sunday... I put a little more than 2 quarts in my car...I figured out it only leaks when the car is on, maybe a little dripping when the car is off... So, I left it over night in the hopes to make it to Hyundai for service the next morning. I had cardboard under the car all night and there was a sufficient amount of oil on it the next morning. But, not enough to feel worried and put more in. I brought the car in to service at 7:30 am. Ticking was the loudest it has ever been. I even shut my car off as I was waiting for them to let the line of people in front of me in. I bring the car in I am sitting there for 3 hours. People were coming and going... I'm still sitting there waiting. Finally, the guy comes to me and tells me there is no ticking and no leaks. They saw the oil on the car but had no idea. So, they cleaned up the bottom of the car and added some red dye to see where, if any, leaks are coming from. They wanted to take the car for a drive and look at it again... Still couldn't find any leaks... I told them that's crazy. I have more than enough witnesses and I lost enough oil to fill someone else's car and ticking was loud when I brought the car in and NOTHING can be found or heard? SO, I told them to make sure the oil level/pressure was right. They said it was fine. ( I just happened to put just the right amount of oil in the car the night before? apparently so)
So, what they are telling me is my car fixed itself seconds before I gave my car to them, after weeks of the ticking, and however long it was leaking. Well, lets just say, when I drove away with my car... NO TICKING, NO LEAKS! NOTHING! I don't get it.
You know how they always say when you experience something and you want to show it to someone else and it doesn't happen for them. It couldn't be more true. I hate that! Now, my car is pretty much in an on call status with Hyundai. Thankfully enough they said if it does happen to just call them and bring it in.
That's the second thing on my car that fixed itslef too. I blew the MAF sensor too. I took the CAI out, put the car back to stock and told them my service engine light was on. 2-4 weeks ago I brought it to service, and they told me that no codes came up... IT FIXED ITSELF!
When did they start making a new breed of cars that heal themselves when they have "injuries"? LOL
I don't get it
