Until you boost it. Taking a N/A car and slapping some forced induction on it is not practical for a daily driven car unless you take METICULOUS care of it... granted a belt driven s/c isn't nearly as maitenance needy as a turbo per say, you'll still need to take better care of it. Leave a few G's aside for repairs.

Example? MKIV Supras. Nobody buys the N/A - T conversions because they blow up on a much more frequent basis than the TT's that have the boost turned up or converted to singles.

Think 'bout it

Thats great news Dan! Ummm.... about the turbo.... do you really think it will be a week? Do you not remember my waiting time? Try 3 mos. That seems to be the norm. Every 2 weeks I called and was told it would be 2 more weeks. But I hope you get yours fast. I just don't want you to get your hopes up. Hope Raquel feels better.
Yep one week turn around cause they keep the turbo's in stock. They don't with the S/C. That question I definitely asked cause I know you and Dave were waiting a long time, but again you guys got the S/C.

they do not make an intercooled Supercharger for the 2.0L i talked to alpine and they said their working on one, but thats BS! if you go to the alpine website they have a 500 HP betta 2 motor, dual charged. the turbo is FMIC and the S/C is intercooled as well. why wont they offer that to the public? anyway so i have no choice but to go non intercooled.

glad to hear things worked out. good luck with the turbo. hope Raquel feels better.:3_pukey:
The duel charged 2.0 belongs to dmdicks I believe. He has that set-up and works for Alpine.

i have a few grand on the side. but i talked to an elantraclub member who as had the alpine supercharger on his betta 2 for over a year now with not one single problem. i take exccelent care of my car and wont beat on it.

thats funny.... lol.... so your saying that when you get the S/C your not gonna beat on the car at all? hahaha

i wont.... i'll go to the dyno, on a cool day i'll go to the track. other than that i drive my car at a decent top speed, but dont pull hard off the line like ever. i shift between 3500 and 4000 RPMs. if i was planning on driving like an idiot i would go with the intercooled turbo.

finally got around to putting this thing together. it went together rather quickly, had to hammer in the legs (they didnt wanna go in) its a little wobbly, but im on solid ground in the corner so im not worried about it. its made by Team Mechanix.

i had to take my car to the dealer this past wednesday and i saw a blue tib there with one of those billet grills i believe and i dint see what else they had since i was in such a rush to get out of there, does that belong to anyone here? btw i ****in drive all the way from stonybrook to hempstead to get my intake replaced and the mother ****ers ordered it to another dealer, so now i gotta drive all the way back to stonybrook with duct tape holding my **** together since i cracked it, my guess is from the hung over mornings of driving to work and not letting the car warm up before taking off
Blue.. with billet grill.. if that car was a real dark blue, plus extremely dark tints plus custom exhaust.. thats my friend matt.. he used to work wit me at CC.. we once had 3 tibs there all hooked up. it was fun..

damn raquel and dan that sucks glad to hear your ok and the tib is reparable. that is the same location that i was hit in by a female driver as well, i couldnt even open the door.

are yas getting the intercooled or non-intercooled?

oh and I need an opinion from u guys here i ordered the zefiro hood back in nov. from mike at importshark but he was waiting for his shipment to come in and when it did it got stuck in customs then when it finally got to his warehouse they had sent him the grade B hoods and he diddnt want to send me those so he offered me to get the hood at the GB price he is having and i get money back or he will ship me the PCS motorsports hood that he has instock. im thinking of getting the PCS since nobody has it, and now VIS has taken over the mold from PCS as well. they used the same manufacture so its the same hood, PCS sold the mold to VIS cuz no one was buying it at the $1200 price tag they had

here are pics of each and teh side vents on the zefiro will be cut out.

I like the 2nd hood better........... whats the question?
oh sorry just wasnt sure which one i wanted and just wanted ppls opinion in the hoods ive always liked the zefiro hood since rick from real had the original gb. and ive also like the PSC since mike first posted it in the hood thread but was way too much.

no reason for a scoop unless its functional. i like the look of a front vent. the second one definately looks wan nicer!

I like the Zefiro, except for the vents on the side. If I had to choose, I would take the Zefiro though.
