Current mods:

- Coilovers (meisterR UK brand)
- Rota g-force 18x9 +35
- Hana front bumper
- Korean brand sideskirts (can't remember name)
- TS painted CF hood
- Tints
- Catback exhaust system
- 6K HIDs

Incoming mod:

- Web motorsports Rear diffuser

Potential mods:

- De-wiper the rear
- Spacers (probably 5mm?)
- 10% tint film over headlights
- Eyelids - Not a fan of NIA eyelids (no offense to NIA, they just look a bit sleepy to me) I'm trying to get luxgen eyelids but everyone knows thats impossible, might have to end up making my own?
- Might plastdip the whole car white with black inserts (vents, roof, spoiler etc)
- Angel eyes - been looking around for some, was thinking DD multi colour one or these new morimoto XD ones that i came across

Looking for more ideas though guys I want to keep modding it and getting some enjoyment out of it. Pretty much all my ideas have come from newtib over the last 2/3 years so i just want to say thanks as well!

Looks great man. Aside from the eyelids and angel eyes you mentioned I'd say you'd covered your exterior modifications pretty extensively.

I too have been considering the morimoto angel eyes for some time. I'm getting my hands on a busted headlight so I can take some measurements and get the best fitting sizes possible since they do not have the one size traditionally used on the SMD eyes for our headlights. If you're not in an immediate rush to get them I'd gladly share my dimensional findings when I get around to it.

For future mods I'd say its time to shift to more performance oriented mods for your chassis and engine.

Lots of nice suspensions mods available and a moderate selection of engine mods for both NA and FI.

What are your end goals? Looks? Power? Speed? Handling? Give us a better idea and we can aid you more effectively. Happy modding!

I'd appreciate that a lot I'm not in any rush. I looked into them some more and do you know they are yellow when they are not turned on? Thats putting me off a bit

Its an I4 so apart from headers, cat and an intake there's not much i can do with it. I don't want to go into FI for a couple of reasons, funds being one.

End goal is pretty much to get a decent amount of power out of NA (last mods I'm planning to do) but focus on the exterior, kind of making it look like a show car but I'm not interested in going to any shows lol. I.C.E is not something i want to go into either, I'm just not big on it.

Suspension wise i think I've covered it with the coilovers, they cost me a lot and they have greatly improved the handling and ride compared to the eibach springs i used to have.

The yellow is the phosphorus coating on the surface of the diodes required to obtain white light.

People have tried to remove this coating. Not sure why... as it just kills the lights.

I have a plan to 'hide' the yellow but need to get my hands on some to test it to make sure it doesn't interfere with the light output any. For now my idea is secret, but again I do not mind sharing my findings afterwards when I have tested everything.

Great, I probably won't buy them unless you could do this successfully, I'll keep looking around in the meanwhile.

keep her that way. maybe start working on the internal color scheme. get some hyndai swag, maybe a couple of those hyundai pillows i keep seeing... sway bar roll bar, carbon fiber for your cabin. dont you DARE dip your car white. its too sexy to go white. damn stealth fighter you got there.
haha I'm slowly being put off dipping it now.

I'm actually doing the opposite of what your suggesting and am trying to get rid of as much hyundai badging as i can lol, keeping the car a mystery.

But I will look into the interior see what i can do there, currently looking for a matching gear knob to the red leathers. I'll go look in the interior section and try to get some ideas.

Looks pretty damn clean to me bro! I would leave it that way and just keep that paint super wet glass clean. Not a fan of dippin but I've seen it done well in white, but if it were me, I choose shimmer and shine over flat and dull.

I totally agree with Maze's first post.

I would def look into the eyelids. Although I disagree with you about the NIA lids; for the F/L2 I think they look amazing.. but any eyelids would look killer on your Tib.

AE are always great no matter which you go with.

Mayyyybe 5mm on the rear, if that. But it doesn't look necessary at all with your setup (btw.. MeisterR coils.. nice!)

Honestly, I think you're at that point where you could cross the line into going overboard with your exterior mods due to, well, boredom lol! Take your next steps carefully. I've always believed that less is more for our Tibs' design. And you've managed to reach the point where a lot of us would like to be with our exterior mods.
Good advice, I am getting close to that boredom point and I know it, that's why I like to get a lot of second opinions on any upcoming mods to make sure I'm not getting that boredom tunnel vision.

Kk 5mm will definitely be going on the rears, I've been thinking about it for some time but have been lazy.

NIA eyelids hmmm. I looked at them some more but I'm still not sure, the problem is I like the luxgen ones too much here's a comparison pic between the 2

And this is the pic that sold the luxgens for me

I'm gonna email them and see if i can get something to work.

Clean car. Id keep it like it is... Wouldn't even think about plastidipping it.
I probably won't, but if i do and i don't like it/opinions aren't great, then the good thing is i can just peel it off.

Hmm I don't know, you pretty much have my favorite look for the F/L2, Hana, side skirts, Rota's and a OEM spoiler. I wouldn't do anything else to the exterior, just ,maybe eyelids.

Now move to the engine ;)
All in good time :), I'm reluctant to because i keep thinking i should spend what money i have on exterior mods even though there aren't any left haha

Thanks, boosting is a dodgy one, for one i would have to wait at least 3 years because insurance prices would kill me in the London, not to mention i would have to find the $5k+ for it.

super good looking man, I like everything you've done with it and definitely agree with the Luxgen eyelids. I plasti-dipped my tib white and loved it so there's my opinion on that haha. Don't have any great pics of it but here's an overcast one just for a general idea of how it looks. Matte white is suuuper bright in person when it's in the sun it basically blinds you not even kidding.

Thanks and its good to hear from someone whose done it! Yours looks great and so do the others I've seen that have been dipped/wrapped so its definitely something i would like to eventually try. If its not good i can just remove it.

I'm running the same rims but 18x8.5 with 25mm spacers all around.. Go more wide if your not going to boost. I can also suggest a cf hatch? Sound system if that wasn't listed. Maybe a nice radiator to go with the Hana. C/f spoiler. Could go all out on interior mods, seats if u wanna spend a bunch, but even some little interior mods to keep you busy but on budget.
Great lookin car. Really wish I got at least 9s for my rims.. Mine don't concave like I was hoping for.
Thanks just had a look at your rims, I'm surprised how much of a difference that extra 1/2 inch has made to the concavity :s have you considered maybe selling and rebuying 9s? that's if its worth the extra cost to you.

I'll add the 5mms to the rear and maybe the front, see how it looks and might possibly go wider on the rears, I might raise the car veryy slightly as well so the wheel looks nicer in the arch from a side on view and to prevent some rubbing that will come with the spacers.

The hatch/bonnet is carbon fibre but it turned green due to UV damage after 3/4 years so i got it sprayed black. I'm trying to keep the black theme so CF parts (or any other colours) are out of the picture unfortunately (but fortunately for my bank account).

Over summer i will probably spend a small amount of upgrading the speakers/components and buying a headunit that should keep me satisfied for a little while.

I don't recommend de-wipering the car. My 04GT had a rear wiper and it was great. My 07SE is wiperless and the only way to clear the rear window is the defroster, which takes time.
The thing is i never use the rear wiper, my rear windscreen is so tinted I've become used to using my side mirrors all the time, I can't even remember the last time I used the rear wiper.
Saying this i might not realize how useful it is but I'll find that out when i don't have one.

I like the clean de-wipered look. I think I would take it over practicality lol.

that de-spoilered look is really beginning to grow on me, gives the car more class imo.

Haha thanks, that made me laugh. Still loving the color of car i remember posting in your thread a while back.

i got mine for my automatic on ebay, but manual, they should have those as well. mine is black with red stitching. looks and feels great
I previously had a metal one+red plastic pieces but they fell off in the heat, I think i'll make the switch to leather, i forgot how good it feels.

Seen a few people pull it off well it does look great if you can do it.

For interior leather, check out RedLine in our vendor section, they have a number of items.
Will do, thanks.

holy crap, that's kinda creepy. I just found this thread and looking at the pics in the first post, it looks like my old car and my new car had a baby!
Lol had a look at your member profile and i see what you mean!
