Hey guys i recently received my brothers 05 tiburon Se 6 speed. I use to have a mustang v6 and im a bit blind sided since ive never worked on his car before. I am not scared of working on it so please hear me out.
I was recently told the clutch on the car is going out, I did look through that clutch kit sticky that most of us have seen but i didnt find anything about an SE edtition. So, here i am asking if anyone can suggest me the best bang for the buck clutch kit preferably for under $400.. want a kit to also include pressure plates and flywheel but i just really need suggestions. 4 spuck or 6 spuck? i really dont know.
The car is not modded other than some mysterious headers that came with it 3 years ago. most mods are just for looks.
Aside from the clutch, i was also wanting suggestions on some sparkplugs and level of difficulty on changing them. Also thinking of adding a bit of negative camber, not big on that but willing to give it a try any suggestions for most reliable method and on the cheaper side... Im a college student and need the money..

If you aren't sure of the difficulty on swapping out spark plugs, I can assure you, you aren't going to find a clutch replacement a viable job for you to perform. It's a procedure I would reserve for a shop to do even for those who may know their way around the engine bay unless you know for a fact you can do it and have all the necessary tools because if you started and discovered that you bit off more than you could chew, you're going to have to have it towed on a flat bed to a shop to finish the job, and it's not going to be cheap with a good chance of spending more than you were looking to spend on the whole setup just in shop fees.

You really only have to decide on 4 or 6 puck on higher stage clutches, 4-puck being more aggressive than 6-puck in terms of engagement, but I don't recall any real performance difference as far as how much power they can handle, etc. However, you will not be finding any kits that include a flywheel (at least, not from the manufacturer, and you can safely bet that it will not be anywhere under $400).

Well on the mustang the sparkplugs were a piece of cake, and as far as i understand on the tib i hace to remove a couple more things just to access them. I know i can handle the sparkplugs for sure, im not about to pay someone to do that for me. And the clutch replacement you might be right since i only have a driveway to work on, so ill send that off to a proffessional.
So in that case, what is a good clutch that i can buy for under 400 for my N/A tib? i know its going out and i wont be spending too much money on it since it alerady has 140k.
any recommendations as far as stage1 clutches? should i go sprung?
Any recommended sparkplugs? I saw at rockauto some camber bolts. are those any good? or should i do adjustable control arms instead?

I really appreciate the reply man

I got my F1 racing stage 3 kit off of Ebay I believe for a little under $400 I believe. It includes the stage 3 (5 puck) clutch plate, upgraded pressure plate (clamps like a mofo :D), and the lightweight chromoly flywheel. I have been extremely happy with the kit. I am coming up on my 2 years of having it installed.

Clutch job on the tib is not fun lol. 2 ways to do it:

Pull the motor
Drop the trans from under the car

Both quite difficult. Took me and a mechanic friend about 15ish hours to do it the first time. We had an engine hoist and lots of tools. Here is the link for the DIY guide:

Spark plugs, you need to remove the following:

Upper Intake Manifold
Throttle body (you can leave it attached to the UIM)
Intake (Just part of it to get to the TB)
And all the cables, wires etc that come with removing the UIM.

All in all i can personally change my plugs in about 45min by myself pretty easily. Just follow the amazing DIY on this site and follow the directions. Here are the links:

You will want to buy good NGK Iridium spark plugs, regular heat range. As for camber bolts get ingalls.

ok so the clutch i already have a guy that will be taking care of that for me since i cant tackle that but the sparkplugs are a sure thing.
thanks for the DIY links

So this is how i narrowed down my search, really thinking of the F1 stage1 clutch.. it doesnt let me post a link though so i dont know how to show you guys to see if you suggest a clutch masters instead

i looked at all our vendors but cant really find something within budget.
I have yet to see some pictures of a tib with camber, i thought it would be a good idea to put slight but not too much any ideas on that?
Also is the importshark short shifter any good? $120 sounds like a deal

I like my Ingalls adjustable control arms. Easy to install. I don't remember what I paid for them though. Negative camber looks good on rear of a Tib. Also, wheel spacers or adapters can set your wheels out.
