hey guys. my friend an i have decided to move our race from the streets to a track to prevent injury and problems. he wanted to make it officialo at a track anyway. its a best 3 out of 5 for $150. i have an '03 tiburon with a SRI and he ha a '97 integra with I/E. he just put in a b16 tranny and claims his gears are a lot faster and thinks he can beat me. i havent raced much from a dig so any tips? launch point, shift point, etc?

Wow op you are an idiot. 1 for publicly broadcasting you are street racing, and 2 for thinking we would believe you are oh so all of a sudden been brought to light about the wrongs of street racing because of one thread closing, and you are now bringing it to the track. You fail beyond describing.

1. buy a better car
2. realize that racing is stupid, and that the fact that one person can get to a point 1250 feet away a mere second quicker is inconsequential to anything important.
Fact two is true unless a. You are a proffesional, or b. You do this as a hobby.

1 is definatly true.

your just lucky this happend on a friday.

if it was in the middle of the week and it was back when this site was still hopin with Mr Photo and the like you would be chared fricassee by now
The likes of me, ive decided to be nice to noobs like this as of late. Too why i do not know. Also i havent been on too much last few months. So many have been spared.

Lol OP seriously fails. Like posted above, 1 buy a different car, 2 with your stupidity you would probably lose the race just based on that, 3 make sure that suit is on......

If not for racing, sports cars wouldn't exist. On the other hand, if not for drag racing, sports cars probably would be a lot better than they currently are.

I think i would disagree with your second view. I dont think drag racing has ever really been a sports car sport. I would say muscle car, and now tuner cars evolving into it. None of wich i would concider sports cars.
