Well that really would depend on the amount of traction you are getting....so theoretically speaking in the right conditions you could come out fully on it and not even chirp. So yea....

I'm still not convinced....anyway it was just an observation...I was trying to help....I'm gonna get tavis's car over there soon and see how the times compare.
actually, no, it wouldnt. i said nothing about being at the track or worrying about tires spinning. im talking about strickly at the converter, and at the converter alone. u do NOT come out the hardest THEORETICALLY SPEAKING if u mash the converter as much as u can. whether ones times are better or worse from ACTUALLY doing it is irrelavent. thats why its THEORETICAL.

AHEM.....so dave.....i c that not only did u claim to have installed ur whole blower setup on ur own...

...but now i see that on ur myspace page u claim to have a 12.8 second car...

....1. u did not run a 12.8, therefor u do NOT have a 12.8 second car.

2. it is a VERY ricer statement to claim ur car can do something just bc someone ELSE did it with THEIR car.

3. the nerve of u to tell ANYONE that u did that work urself.

4. claiming u have a 300whp tiburon....um....300-267=33....never heard of rounding up when a number is 33 anything away....so yea....no.

5. claiming u have the fastest tiburon on the WEST COAST....hahahaha. thats all i have to say about that. again, the nerve of you.

6. maybe u dont realize, but coming off as cocky as you do on ur myspace page makes u look like a fool...for a few reasons.

a. b/c there's always someone out there faster than u...ALWAYS....no matter wut the car.
b. even if u ran a mid 12....that is NOT fast. dont make us all look bad b/c of how u portray urself in ur hyundai.

...i cant wait for a response to this.

Well the question is how do you come out harder...and how do you run better times. You said you don't get the best launches by coming out fully on the converter....while it may be true in some cases (ie. wheelspin or damaged converter, etc.)It just doesn't make sense for the rest of the time....It doesn't matter if you are at the track or not...traction is traction.....there is nothing mechanically about a torque converter that reduces power or torque when it is at its limit..(unless of course it has something wrong with it...like if it is slipping)..if you are at a higher rpm when you launch you are making more power and torque (to a point of course...but we arn't talking about launching at 6 or 7 grand here) That means a harder launch......the only way it doesn't is if you lose acceleration due to excessive wheelspin....which would increase with more power...obviously. Which is why i said...with enough traction (which isn't hard to get at the power levels we are talking about) you can get the best launch by coming out fully on it.

Ok I rarely post here been busy with being a partner with my familys buisness plus working on the Spec V and whoring that board. just posting here to see if anyone has seen my old Tib around.. Lol black loud um dent in the rear back bumper. of course the sun spotted spoiler from hell. I know vague description but the dent and spoiler set it apart.

For those of you interested in seeing the progress on the Spec V http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1651771#post1651771

One hour isn't too bad. Its not hard unbolting the mounts, but it's a pain getting it out of the engine bay sometimes. I really want to get one of those, especially after I found that destoryed my rear mount, and my front a and rear's were both poly as it is(launching at 4500rpms = bad idea? haha). I guess this would be the next step up. How is the vibration?

Haha... The one hour thing is kind of a joke with me, seeing as I turn any "1 hour" install into an adventure. This particular one took about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs... I know, I know.. LOL :3_headsha
The vibration is not too bad. It's noticable but It only feels like one of those massaging chairs, which is fine by me. Just a word of advice, if anyone keeps change in the ashtray, I wouldn't, well, won't anymore.
But, I noticed a difference right away. No movement what so ever, it was terrific. When I had the poly mount, your would hear the blower tapping either the hood or firewall, and that was at about 30%+ throttle from a stop. Now, nothing at all. So, overall review is: 1 aluminum solid mount = $200... No engine rock + Free massage at stoplights = Priceless. :3_winkthu
