It's the RIPP SDS supercharger system powered by a vortech centrifugal supercharger.
+1, the compressor section looks just like a turbo, difference is that a turbo is driven on the other side by exhaust gases while a SC is mechanically driven.....:grin2:

I can assure you its a supercharger and not a turbo I've heard them called prochargers as well
Yep, numerous ways to say the same thing, a mechanically driven "turbo" (turbo as in how it looks..... not how it's driven).:wink2:

If it doesn't require me to do any major engine work I'm interested. Have aftermarket exhaust already. Are headers and engine mounts required? How much damage will happen if I don't do these?

You need research before even considering this mod. A solid rear mount will be needed. Headers are a good thing to have. The vortech superchargers were known to be dangerous to an engine unless properly tuned. I am not sure a reflash from NGM will work for this FI setup.

Actually a solid rear mount isn't paramount as there is no blower mounted up near the fire wall. Still not a bad idea to do it as your throttle body can still be at risk. And unless it's a tune specifically for the specified RIPP setup it will not work. The air flow of these centrifugal Superchargers is very different from a roots type blower like what NGM dealt with.

To be honest if that is your available level of commitment, this supercharger isn't for you.

There's lots of reading that can be done on this forum on past threads that give good insight into running one of these systems successfully.
