That sucks, still up here as well.

In North Carolina at my grandparents at the moment though. Still the same time zone though.

edit: 7hr drive with exhaust gets annoying

Brian happiness is a Weatherby 7mm....until you go to buy shells for the damn thing...makes me sad in pants.

Anywho, I never post in here but I have been kicking around the idea of starting my own business. I want to be involved in racing or some form of something going fast. My job(s) suck, I am tired of the BS of working weekends and holidays unvoluntarily. So I have been noticing that Indoor Karting places are becoming more and more popular everywhere, and I have been doing some research on em. Now we're not talking those stupid little go slow, governed BS, that was made out back by Billy Bob and his dad, I am talking Karts designed for racing. I am planning on leagues, test and tunes for outside Karts, endurance events and more. Of course all these ideas sound great on paper, but what I wanna know from you guys in Ohio(or surrounding states) are there tracks by you? Do they get good amounts of people? Are they well setup? Are they fun? If there are tracks by you where do you live?

This is kind of an impromptu survey because I am working on a location to do such a thing before I decide to commit to something of this scale. In my particular area there aren't any and I haven't found any in Cleveland or Akron, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. I appreciate any help anyone can offer me here.

My father raced Karts for many many years. was a blast! Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Pocono Raceway, Summit Point, Talladega to name a few. He took season champ at Mid-Ohio in '83.

Not sure though as to there being indoor racing. I am not sure how well that would work. I would think the exhaust fumes would be pretty bad. Being indoors... that's either a really small track or a damned big building, considering the tracks i listed for comparison. Anywho, i like the idea but not sure what you will find.

welcome to the boards!

WHAT'S UP KRISY! Long time no see. Fill me in on what you've done to the car! I've started getting the bug to mod again. Thinking of going S/C. Didn't you have plans to do that? How'd it turn out?

i got to drive racing karts last winter at Moroso... they went 60 mph and pulled almost 4g's in turns... it was the one time i had ever gotten motion sickness haha but god damn was it a blast

one of the workers there asked if it was my first time cuz he said he was impressed with how i was driving

ammo in general makes me sad in the pants. and u r in my area too so u answered the question. the only one i know if is down near mid-ohio and i have never been. whatever u do, dont start one in cleveland. this place is a crappy place b/c most people do not have a lot of disposable income.

About 15 min away from my house, once you cross into Indiana they have an indoor gokart track. It is sick. It is a slick track so you slide around the corners, oh so fun but expensive. I think its 15$ for a 10 min go or something like that. I will tell you what though, after 10 min your body is exhausted.

Indoor karting is huge, and it's not new. Guys have been doing for the past 10 years. The tracks are nowhere near the size in length, but have tons of corners. Fumes are carried out by large exhaust fans. Google Indoor Karting and see how many hits you get and some of the layouts you see. I used to race outdoors myself, but lack of time thanks to my current ****** profession leaves me with no time to enjoy myself. I am considering this because it combines two of my favorite things with work.
