So what gives with these cars ! I tried racing one the other night breifly. I knew the guy that owned it and he has an 06 SS super charged and he has a gm stage 2 kit. He also has an injen cai and a gm performance exhaust. The guys car pulled on me straight from the bottom of first to the end of forth. He put a few bus lengths on me. :3_confuse I figured i'd at least keep up abit. Those thing's can move ! Anyone else race a stage 2 cobalt ?

I drove my buddys 06 SS/SC Cobalt with stg 2 pulley I/E with a meth kit and from 0-20 nothing but wheel hop then from 20-60 wasnt all that fast at all plus the thing drives ****** i like the way my tib drives and feels much more.. Then he drove my tib and from 0-60 said mine felt faster than his though i had very little wheel spin.. His car would proably kill me up top...

I can't stand cobalts. My friend has one and thinks its the **** (not s/c or t/c). I know that s/c and t/c are quick but everyone and their mother has a cobalt. they are so plain looking and so common. Tibs are more unique. =] That's why I love em. It's definitely a head turner!

LOL.....The SRT4's are funny cars out here, most of the guys out here are just" my Srt killed this and then I killed that " but when we walk up to them at the Pavillions out here they just kinda kick at the dirt and ask how my cars running, LOL one of there crew even did a video of my car at the track so they could show it to their freinds...............LOL, never could even get them to line up with me at the track , Dangit!
That's because your car is a beast!!!! But yeah there are pretty souped up Srt-4's in my area that are super fast...most however just have bolt ons and such...

As far as how these cars look... Cobalt is kinda plain and the Neon srt looks too much like a Neon. The Caliber srt looks ok I guess. Good thing the Gen coupe looks a lot like a Tiburon. Its a toss up for me. I might go with a 05-06 Wrx or a V6 Gen coupe when I sell the Tib.

i said the same thing....and maybe in general you could be right.....but these is this guy mike dubbed "5 car" in a silver SRT-4 hes a fire fighter and live wayyyy out on longisland near the hamptons throw any EVO / M series bimmer / amg benz / STI of what i have seen and he takes them by at LEAST 5 cars...hence the name DERP.... so yea if done right you have a monster on your hand....at least in the 1/4...and if your living you life any other way then your missing the point of life....
You're not too far from me. I can set you up a race with an SRT-4 if you want. Just let me know when you want your bumper torn off.

right, thats why I have taken many off the line and they dont catch me until around the 1/8 mile mark, sure. Yes they can be fast, but they arent nor ever will be the fastes cars out there. I have seen plenty of boosted tibs destroy WELL MODIFIED srt's. I look at it this way, same as an escort. No matter what you do to it.... its still a neon. You can dress up a street whore all you want, but it doesnt make her a lady.
