Wow I think that is a great idea.. It never would have crossed my mind to get a thicker head gasket to change compression. Good thinking! +1 to you

Maybe I'll go that route too since it may be easier.

is it going to fit a tiburon with out hacking up the car?

slow2k2gt, bmxer is right the radiator support for this car was completely taken out. This car was really never meant to have this setup on it. It was made for a Precision 7076.

As it sits now it would have no problem fitting in a GK tib. This is kind of a prototype, but really my racing setup minus a smaller turbo. I'm going to go back into solidworks and flowworks and redo the manifold to clear a xd, spectra, rd, and j2. Its going to take some work but really shouldn't be a problem.

Greg it can't go any closer to the driver's side due to coolant hoses. I could CNC a custom thermostat housing but thats a little much.

Tom,
i know solidworks but never worked that much with it
for the flange angle,i`ve seen some gains when it was sitting "sqared" but the manifold was a bit different (honda k20) but again gains were minimal,so was it the manifold or the angle... hard to tell

the turbo bracket is a must especially for a street car

Again nice work

Ugh!
Although I'm not finding any... are there any 3mm gaskets or "decompression plates" for the 2.7 ???

Kspec has them, under the NA & Turbo parts category. Search ebay for hyundai tuburon turbo gasket and I'm sure you'll find them there too.

Damn, thanks for the tip.. originally when I checked Kspec I didn't see gaskets for the 2.7.
I don't know why now.. maybe I wasn't looking hard enough or the picture of the 4cyl gasket threw me off :p

Allright, thanks again! :3_usehead

No worries bro, when I first looked for the i4 I didn't see them either cause I selected the car and not the NA turbo category. The site's just setup a bit weird. But another tip is that I see they have them cheaper on ebay than their prices on their site for some reason - at least for the i4 anyway.

what did u do withe the gear box and diff?
It disintegrated :likeabossgifanimate

The first trans broke on the dyno at 526whp. Put another stock 5 speed trans in after to work on the turbo kit stuff.
