Hello everyone I've been working on making a turbo kit for the Beta for a while now. Yesterday, I dyno'd the car for one last time on my race chassis and now its time to move on and continue testing a street car. But before I do, I was looking to get some feedback on the setup as I am always looking to improve on it. This kit is for the extreme enthusiast, not wanting to be beat by a civic with bolt ons.
The Kit includes
Top Mount Turbo Manifold
Precision 5557 Turbocharger
Precision 46mm Wastegate with dump tube
3" V-band Downpipe
Your choice of HKS SSQV or Tial 50mm
2.5" Intercooler Pipes
3" Front Mount Intercooler
Midnight Motoring 750 Fuel Kit w/ Fuel Pressure Regulator, Return line, and Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
3mm Head Gasket
Intake Piping
All oil lines
I'm still up in the air on Engine Management but I know it won't be a SMT. Probably an AEM F/IC since 99% of tuners are able to fine tune this system. Right now on the race chassis I have a megasquirt, which is the best thing for this kit, but to be obd compliant I got to use a piggyback.
Here are some pictures of it on the race chassis with both he 5557 and 7076. Note that the exhaust will not come out the passenger front side of the car, but under and out behind the engine. Also the turbo and manifold will be made closer to the engine to keep stock radiator and cooling fans. This manifold was made for a 70mm turbo (really big hair dryer but you get the idea).
Pre Initial fitting on the engine stand. The wastegate in front of the manifold but now on the side.

As far as power goes, just on wastegate pressure only (15 psi) we've made 331 peak whp. I'll post that graph when I get back to the shop since I pulled the wrong one before I left. But here's one of 328whp and 256ftlbs.
I have turned the boost up just a little not a lot no more than 4 extra psi, and yes 375 no problem. Here's a sheet @ 17 psi. 357whp and 286ft/lbs!!! With only 2 more psi and air/fuels still needing to be cleaned up!!!!
So what do you guys and gals think. Improvements? If you were looking to buy a turbo kit what else could you think of?
Feedback greatly appricated!!
