Hey there, I thought it best to ask this question to the NT braintrust.

My car is a Canadian DM, Are the electrical "boxes" (modules) mounted to the strut tower (seen below my strut bar) part of the immobilizer system? There is a sizable loom going from the fuse box to the underside of the box closest to the brake master cylinder, and the box with the beige coloring on it has me a bit confused.

I'm sure some of you might know what these are without even thinking. Immobilizer is my best guess since I can't find these on any KDM Tuscani Elisa here in Korea. Please confirm or correct me if you have a moment.

Thank you!

Does the silence mean I am right?

...or am I the only car on this site with modules like this?

I would be satisfied if someone were just able to tell me that they have seen something like this on another car, and what country that car was originally sold in.

Thanks in advance!

No markings on it? have you tried disconnecting it to see what happens?

The immobilizer is part of the BCM. There are no external components for it other than the antenna coil.
Not that I can notice in plain sight. I'm overly cautious when it comes to fiddling with it because I don't want an electrical problem of my own doing.

Your information is a great help. I will more carefully examine the looms, connectors, and the paths they take in order to better understand what is going on.

Are there any other wires running from it to elsewhere you could trace? Or does it only seem to send and return to the fuse box?

It doesn't look aftermarket, that's certain.

Going through my posts, fixing links...

I believe I have found the answer to my question in the first post on this thread.

That "module" I was referring to is apparently for controlling the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

...and I have no desire to fool around with it.

Thanks to those who gave their feedback!
