2006 Hyundai Coupe FX V6 6sp

As of Feb 2017
Current Milage: 111k miles
The car was ordered at the dealer on April 2005 and was delivered on August 7th, 2005 as a 2006 year model.

My car is the only 2006 samba red (VX) , 6sp manual FX ( Tiburon SE trim in US) sold in Panama out of a total of 3 V6 Tiburon sold that year. As far I know there are less than 7 V6 Tiburon sold by the Hyundai Dealer in Panama between 2002 and 2009.

There are many more Tiburons on the roads today but most of them are second hand Tiburons imported from US.

This was the first car I purchased with my own means and I have been the only owner and plan to keep for a long time . I have delevoped a sweet spot for it in my heart. I basically use the car to drive to work daily and sometimes on the weekend.
For familiar duties I also have a 2011 Toyota Fortuner 3.0 Turbodiesel and a 2004 Mercedes Benz E320 Avantgarde

Hope you enjoy the car

I just put them about a month ago and took great care not to scratch them , however im pretty sure they will scratch with time

Thanks man.
Overall fitment is great.
At the front wheels no rub whatsoever before and after the Teins
At the back i put some 6mm spacers more of a "flush" look. At stock height it wont rub at 99% , its fine unless you drive thru some lunar crater
With the Teins it rubbed a bit so I had to roll fenders.

I believe 17x9 is the widest you can put in the back without spacers, the rear rims are milimeters way from the suspension. I went with 17x9 size basically to keep weight down and have enough deepness for the concave effect

This are are some pics and video from my only Dyno session. Sorry for the quality. It was about 1 month ago in a DynoJet. I dont have the printout but I made 169 whp 1st pass and 168whp 2nd pass with my current mods.

The Integra in the picture is a JDM ( right hand drive) turbo B18. During the 1st run the rope holding the car was rubbing againts the drum, it broke and the car slide to the right damaging the front door a bit....Lesson learned: check the dyno straps for clerance before the run!

169hp with all those mods..? lol No wonder why I bought a turbo! :/

I know....that can be frustrating at time. At least it sounded great doing so! :3_shiny:

Wow those wheels make a huge difference compared to stock! Looks amazing man, I love how it's clean an it's just overall awesome lol. Rally Red FTW.
Thanks dude!
Red Tibbys rule hehe!
Overall I think that strong colors look great in the Tibby, after red my favorite is yellow, then blue, then black and then orange.

Thanks man!
The headlight came clear-cornered from factory. Are non US spec.
The parking light is inside of te High beams, which is also cool. I will try to post a pic of it.

I finally installed the UltraRacing bar over the weekend.
This is one beefy bar and the finish is high quality.
I also took the opportunity to install new OEM rear endlinks
I have been using the new sway bar for just one day and must say that the cornering improvement is impresive, however, I feek that the bar is still in " break in " period as the ride quality decresased at first however over the afternoon ride progresively improved.

I will post a review once I put a decent amount of miles on it. Kuds to Will and ZMR for bringing such a great product for the community.

These are some pics during the install:

Finally I have installed the Stage IV!
Installation was relatively easy thanks to the DIY found in the forum, however, I had a bol in my throttle body was stuck, I was afraid of stripping it and took me while to get it out.

So far the engine is running beautiful, my idle is sitting just a bit higher than normal (900 RPM) vs 750-800 RPM before the install bit Im ok with it . I havent yet fully tested the the Stage IV but in normal driving the car feels slightly more eager from 3000 RPM and is slight louder. I also did the TB coolant bypass.

Sorry for the crappy pictures , I will try to get better pictures when I clean the engine bay more.

Beautiful Tib! Congrats on all the mods you have done. The only thing I don't like is the "#1 Gator Fan" front plate. I am a Tennessee Vols and Miami Hurricanes fan (Gator Hater).

Thanks

Haha, I just took off the Gator plate to clean it a few days ago and decided to not put it back again to keep the clean look for a while!

The best pass was 173whp which is only 4 whp higher than my previois dyno and now I have the NGM Stage IV and the Ark headers.

The peak number was dissapointing however , more importarly my curve improve considerably above 6000 RPM, it doesnt fall of a cliff, rather stay flat.

I also suspect the dyno run was affected by heat ( temps over 100F) and no blower. That day was alsona dyno day and the guys were in a rush and not setting up properly. Just after me a E92 M3 stock dynoed around 315 whp which quite low for such a car.

Im just waiting to install my BBTB and pay a visti again to the dyno in the coming weeks
