SOO i just can't stay away. Hey guys! Long time! For those who lurk and or remember me; Names Frank. Was a good old Vet on this forum a while back. But i eventually sold my beautiful 07 Tibby a few years ago so some chick in Delaware before i bought my 2013 Gen Coupe. Some people even posted it in a few "spotted" threads here and there. Anyways, she ruined it.

However me and my Wife are currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan with the Air Force until May 2016. And soon we will need to start planning to move back to the US. And obviously i need a bad-ass car.

Now, i would LOVE to buy another Gencoupe and work it but we need to think smart right off the bat. And one car me and her both landed on; Was another Tiburon! We both loved that car and it was clean as f*ck. I miss it all the time. The cars here blow. And they dont have Hyundais here.

I know it's a small way off but i'm so excited to start planning. I learned SOOOO much biulding my Tiburon; more mistakes than anything. And i've always wanted the chance to re-do it. To not make the same mistakes. Finish it the way i always wanted.

I can currently grab a decent used 07-08 for about $6-8000 depending on drivetrain and mileage so it will be an easy buy for us when we land back stateside. We dont have kids yet so we figured why not enjoy the sports cars while we can.

I've extremely excited to start hunting for parts again. As some of you remember i was a boss at LED lighting and modifying Headlights. So i have HUGE plans in store for that. As well as some new features i can integrate that i learned out here.

And you all better believe i'm going to re-make that gorgeous white interior again :) I can't wait. And i'm looking forward to being an active member here again! I made some amazing friends here who i've still stayed in touch with and i can't wait to make more. I posted some pictures of my old tiburon below; may she rest in piece...

Wow great to hear a vet such as yourself is returning to breathe new life into the forums. Your past work was fantastic and I can't wait to see what you being in round 2!

Welcome back!
Thank you very much! i appreciate that alot!

Welcome back young Frank tricker~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!

/breechanimpersonator aside, welcome back! Glad to hear you're getting another Tiburon and that you have plans to fix it up properly. Not at all a bad idea, to this day I have been fixing mistakes of my own that I have done a few years ago, so I understand what you're saying. Nice to start fresh.

Curious now, do you have particular plans for this coming one? will it be white again?
Thank you! and yeah i definitely made some huuuuge mistakes with my Tiburon that i will for sure avoid this time around. The trick will be finding a good used one...

And yessir! it's just my favorite color car. If we ABSOLUTELY cant find a White one then we might settle on a Gunmetal or Black. But we have also had talks about potentially Plasti-Dipping the entire vehicle a pearl White. Still not sure yet. haha

I'm stoked for round 2 in the Tib scene! Welcome back bud!
Thanks man!

hey Frank, good 2 hear from you again. hows life on "The Rock" treating ya?
I love it here man. This place is paradise. Its almost December and i was at the beach just a few days ago. Water is cold but im still rocking shorts and a t-shirt. It's always windows down weather here.

Oh wow your old Tibby is class.

If you were to ask me if I like white cars, HIDs and blue neon lights for interior I would of told you hell no.

But this... this is very nice. Or was. That chick in Delaware didn't deserve it. God damn I'm liking that interior.

So nice.

Thanks man. And yeah i changed a lot of minds with that car. People told me all the time they either hated White interiors, or Blue lighting or whatever. But loved mine. It was a very very nice compliment. And yeah, she sucks. I stripped a lot of the parts out but it was still my baby :/ I can't wait to do it all again haha.

I remember seeing your videos a while back. Seeing that sexy ass white interior and other sweets odds and ends really inspired me. Though I did not really get around to doing my interior, I spent my time and efforts in other departments :p

I wasn't around yet when you had your tib, but damn it was clean!! :D Sorry to hear that it's no longer in such condition. Based on that tib, I'm really excited to see what you'll end up with and where you'll take it! :D Welcome back!

Thanks man:) And yeah im very very excited too.!

Heh I guess I was lead astray

"Welcome back young Frank tricker"

Never mind on the last name bit :p

but will say even if Im not going to paint my car white , it has given me ideas as to how to accent my current colour scheme
Oh haha. Well yeah i can see why you thought that. My bad hahaha. And yeah. I love brightening up black interiors with Accenting colors. The Tiburons interior is perfect for it. With all the panels and separation of parts

This isn't what I meant! I said a look at me here's an update with mah life thread, not im returning to the tib world thread.

I still eagerly await your tiburon advancements in the coming future, what time will you be returning to the great ol yoo essay
Haha well maybe i will make another! who knows! haha

And ill be back Stateside in May 2016. Dont know where yet tho. Hoping for East coast but i'll take anywhere really. It's all a journey =)

Glad to see you coming back to the Tib world, man!
Thanks!

Frank, youre gettin spoiled by the weather in southeast asia, dude!! wait till you get back to NJ. after my 2 years in SE A, i got home to NJ in mid July and i thought i was gonna freeze to death as it was only 85 degrees!! funny but as the years piled up on me, i now dread the heat and wait for winter....go figure, so im a weird one. wife and me just dug ourselves outta 6 inches of snow today, in November! curious to see how your next Tib turns out.
It's awesome here. But right now its like 66 degrees and im cold as hell haha Life it rough.

Thanks for your service Frank. I saw your username and was like, "eh I better check this guy out" since I'm in 609 too, haha. Holy craps that's one sharp-azzed Tib you had, I am literally 10 mins up Route 9 from Waretown and I can't believe I'd never seen it around. Would be great to meet up whenever you get back, if in NJ. Keep checking places like CL and Cars or TrueCar, that's how I found mine local. Lot's of Black and Silver around here though, not many White ones.

Thanks man. I'm SURE you've seen me in Lacey before. I was at Applebees all the time and or just roaming around with friends up and down the Parkway. unless you recently started driving after 20123. I sold my Tib around them. But i'm hoping to end up lower East coast. Trying to avoid the drama of Jersey. And ill find a white one. dont you worry haha

Welcome back : ) never really met but your youtube videos are the reason I destroyed my interior thinking it looked as easy as you made the finished product look :) haha lesson learned.

Hippies in Waretown?? when?? retired ones or "recycled?" i agree maybe Pineys were a little inland from ya, they liked to hang around the rifle range at Fort Dix instead of the shore. clamdiggers, yes! when i was in Howell Twp, (Parkway Pines) i was 30 miles north of waretown straight down rt9 or GSP and 4 miles dead west of Point Pleasant Beach. last i heard, thats the shore, girls all had "benny go home" bumper stickers. spent many a night in Hoffman's Beach House setting my watch to Jimmy & The James Boys setlist! the Hippies then, me included, hung out one block west of The Inkwell coffee house all gathered in the park on ocean ave in West Long Branch after a night of cruising "The Circuit" in Asbury Park and fine dining at The Circus Drive in restaurant on rt 35 in Belmar. still remember old GF then and her "pizzaburgers and '68 Stang." on an "off" weekend we would go watch Parker Bohn in his 6 cyl Chevy wipe up 427 powered Pintos out at Wall Stadium, then head to Kiefers Country Inn or The Roadhouse and get sh!tfaced. end up playing "switch" in the backseats with all the friends GF's. id say the worst part of living there besides being out in the sticks miles from nowhere with the Laurelton Diner (now The Rainbow Diner) the only nearbye all night hangout was the way we got treated by the local business owners. these people would literally kiss our ***** to keep us coming around in the winter so they would survive, then come summer could care less who we were and we became just another tourist to rape. (to be fair, some places did give us "club cards" and a break, but it was rare.) wife and me went to NJ in 2010 for a visit to my sis and bro in law and met up with that same old GF and her husband, one of my neighborhood buds, and we stopped at the Circus for lunch, having a ball laughing about how many nites we and our friends spent there 40 years ago! still didnt beat living up off rt206 in Stanhope on west side of Lake Hopatcong up until i left the state.

Welllll....... @oni888, if you come back for a visit.... let me know. I wouldn't mind meeting another NT member.:grin2:

I had family in Waretown, I still have family in Belleville and south.

It's "Jersey", what more can you say?:frown2:

Charlie, you are on my list should i ever afford to "return" for a visit again.:wink2: last one was on my bro in law and sis.
