Just thought I'd drop in and ask, would there be any interest in aluminum pulleys?

Which pulleys would yall be making. I know that there were two pulleys that used to be available years ago but they are long since discontinued. I have the under drive pulley and AC pulley but would yall make any other ones (I honestly dont even remember how many pulleys are under the hood which equates to a stupid moment on my part haha).

Sorta hard to do the water pump, you risk damaging the pump with pulling it apart and then installing the new pulley.

On the V-6, the water pump pulley is under the covers, you wouldn't even see it, so why change it? Besides, I believe it's aluminum on the pump already........

Would they only be aluminum or could they be anodized?

There's a guy that does custom anodizing near Boston (I know him from RC crawling) that could do it if Neztec won't have it as an option.
Then again, I could put Neztec in touch with the guy if they want.0:)

PS, other than looks, not much gain from an alternator pulley.

I like my aluminum alt pulley its like 50% lighter so it makes a difference even if its a small one, all aluminum pullies on my car, alt, ps, and crank give a big increase in throttle response and engine feel I love it.

I would certainly be interested in a set of these.

Just some thoughts on anodization: correct me if I am wrong, but anodized aluminum essentially cuts out the possibility of corroded aluminum right? Now I would get these pullies in a grey/silver finish if I could, so would those not be anodized and therefore prone to corrosion? Or even so, would potential corrosion issues even happen on said pullies? Excuse my noobishness lol.

Yes, anodizing reduces the chance of corrosion. A clear anodize would give a finish close to raw aluminum.

im definitely interested

Count me in as well :)
Would also like to see more support for the 2.7L platform, and better throttle response is a BIG plus in my books. :D

The power steering pulley is kind of a challenge since it's splined you need a broaching tool which costs thousands.

Just for grins, I looked up various parts between the V6 & I4 (on RockAuto), you're correct, looks like no shared pullies.:frown2:
